This body of work was constructed during the artist’s residence at Kura House, Fujiyoshida, in September, 2026

Materials and Techniques:

Combining digital fabrication with intricate hand-assembly, Nina Spade's sculptural adornments and mobiles incorporate laser-cut acrylic, Swarovski crystals, glass cabochons, phosphorescent glass beads, and mixed-metal components.

Through engraving, inlay, mosaic construction, three-dimensional layering, and articulated elements, the works explore the interplay of ornament, structure, movement, and light.
